Water Dogs
Water dogs have numerous breeds to choose from, such as the Golden Retriever, Rhodesian Ridgeback, and Labrador. These are just a few of the more popular breeds but there are so many more. These dogs are a great hunting companion because they are flushers and retrievers. They can retrieve ducks out of the water and flush Upland Game birds.
Program Information
Each dog starts out with a four-month program to start learning the skills. Each dog can start as early as 6 months up until they are two. They will stay with Jim or one of his grandkids at all times. They are surrounded by other dogs of the same energy levels and more experienced hunting dogs. They will be treated like family and taken care of like one of their own. It is also okay to come and pick your dog up for a weekend or two. Most dogs will come back from a visit with their own family happy to be here.
While training you are encouraged to come out and spend numerous sessions learning the same techniques so you can handle your dog in the field just the same. This also helps to show you how they are progressing and watching them learn through the different levels.
